Welcome to Sexuality, Passion & Enlightenment with Satyen Raja
Join us this week in Williamsburg. We’ll tour Virginia’s first capital, plus the interpretive Jamestown Settlement and Yorktown Victory Center. Nearby are Bush Gardens and Waterworld. Jamestown Settlement is a recreation of a Pohawtan village, the English settlement and the ships that brought the first settlers from England. We ground corn, hollowed a canoe, learned about the living conditions and lack of privacy aboard ship, and explored the first fort. At Yorktown, we learned about medical procedures three centuries ago, and a soldier’s life in the 1700’s. Wear your walking shoes at Williamsburg, too. 301 acres of early America, all authentic. We’ll sup at a local tavern, learn to fire a musket, and visit the local ‘gaol’ and Governor’s Mansion.
Today’s audio postcard is coming to you from Sedona, Arizona. Sedona’s famous Red Rock Country. Sedona is an oasis on the southern edge of the dry desert country of northern Arizona. Oak Creek provides water to sustain the area. It also offers ample opportunities for outdoor recreation. The town is fun to explore, with a variety of shops, boutiques and galleries that will please any browser or shopper. Sedona has been a resort destination since miners from Jerome began coming here to get away from the daily drudge of mining.
